Andreas Eibelshäuser

Andreas Eibelshäuser was born in Starnberg, Germany in 1992 and lived in Munich from 1992 to 2012. From 2013 to 2016 he studied at the University College Maastricht, where he concentrated on International Law and International Relations. His academic interests are in systems of international governance and international dispute settlement. He spent a semester at the University of California, Berkeley in fall 2015 and graduated in 2016 with a thesis on Trade and Labour ("An Evolutionary Interpretation of Art. XX(e) GATT 1994"). He currently earns his law degree at the Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany.

As part of the first UCM Global Order Team, Andreas was involved in founding the project and organising the conference on “Pragmatism and Justice in Global Order” on June 11, 2015. Within the conference he organised the track on International Adjudication gave a presentation on Appellate Review and International Arbitration Regimes.

UCM - Global Order Team

The Global Order Team at the University College Maastricht (UCM) was the first participating team in the project. Together with Luis Moreno Ocampo and the staff of the UCM they started to set up and define the project, start research on Global Order education at the UCM, connected the project to other student groups (Freiburg, Harvard, Yale and Oxford) and are organising the first Global Order Conference on June 11, 2015.

Cleo Meinicke

Cleo Meinicke is a German student at the University College Maastricht. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany in 1994 where she lived until 2013. Since then she studies Liberal Arts and Sciences in Maastricht, where she focusses especially on Law and Psychology. Being especially interested in the intersection of the two disciplines, she is aiming at a master’s degree in Criminology or International Criminal Law. In fall 2015 she will be attending the University of Maryland, United States for one semester as part of her bachelor’s degree. In June 2016 she will graduate from University College Maastricht.

Cleo is part of a group of students organizing the first event of the Global Order Project, which will take place on June 11, 2015. She organizes the track on international crime and will give a presentation on Interpol and their frequently abused Notices.

Valentijn Wibaut

Valentijn was born and raised in Amsterdam. In 2013 he started the Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences at University College Maastricht, where his academic focus became political philosophy and political science. Valentijn has been part of the Global Order Project since its take-off at University College Maastricht, and at the moment he is involved in the organisation of the Project's first conference "Pragmatism and Justice in Global Order". He will organise the Global Justice track within the conference, that will address topics such as national responsibility, the moral value of equality, and human rights as a principle of global justice.
