GOP Freiburg team 2018-2019
The Global Order Team Freiburg is a group of students at the University College Freiburg (UCF). This year, we explore the 'Boundaries of Regulation' in four key developing areas: artificial intelligence, outer space, genome editing and the internet.

Luisa Gertsgrasser
Luisa is in her second year of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the UCF and majors in Life Sciences. She is particularly interested in topics within the field of Public Health but also the topic of Genome Editing. For her, the Global Order Projects offers a perfect opportunity to analyze and discuss topics like these with an interdisciplinary approach and strengthen the exchange between students and experts.

Solveig Maria
Solveig is a second year student of the Liberal Arts and Sciences program, majoring in Governance. She is particularly interested in international relations and the role of journalism in political conflicts. She believes that the Global Order Project not only offers a perfect platform to analyze and discuss international challenges from an interdisciplinary point of view, but also to promote and strengthen intellectual exchange between students and experts.

Paul Weber
Paul is in his fourth year at UCF, having just returned from a year abroad at Sciences-Po Aix-en-Provence. He joined the GOP Team in the hope of cultivating a sphere of discussion outside the classroom with other motivated students and interesting speakers. Within his major Governance his interests lie particularly in the areas of international relations, conflict studies, and international law. ‘Regulation’ is an ambivalent concept in these disciplines. Holding promise at times yet also often disappointing hopes in the international anarchy. Together with the GOP Team, Paul is looking forward to exploring the boundaries of regulation and possibly discuss what holds us from breaking them, together with many interesting speakers.
